Dan Saffer is a product design leader and the author of four books: Designing Devices (2011), Designing Gestural Interfaces (2008), Designing for Interaction (2006, 2009) and the best-selling Microinteractions (2013). Since 1995, he's designed devices, apps, websites, wearables, appliances, automotive interiors, services, social networks, and robots. He’s worked at and for such companies as Twitter, Smart Design, Samsung, Jawbone, CNN, Philips, and Microsoft. He is currently Assistant Professor of The Practice at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, where he teaches classes in Service Design, Interaction Design, and Designing AI Products and Services.

Eva-Lotta Lamm is a designer, author and visual thinker. After a 15-year-long career as a UX / digital product designer working in Paris and London for Google, Skype, and Yahoo!, she shifted her professional focus to her life-long passion of visual thinking.
She is now based in Berlin, running her own business designing (physical and digital) products that teach a global audience to use sketching as a tool for understanding, thinking and communicating more efficiently. Her mission is to empower people to make the complex problems they face in their work and daily life visual so they can ‘see’ them from a fresh perspective and solve them with more confidence, creativity and clarity.
Eva-Lotta is a sought after expert in her field. She is regularly speaking at international design conferences on the topics sketching, sketchnoting and visual thinking and has been teaching her craft both in-person and online for over a decade.
In her spare time, Eva-Lotta practices yoga and improvisation, loves roller skating, travelling, languages and learning new things. These passions have inspired several of her books capturing her experiences in the form of rich visual notes.

Matt LeMay is a product leader, consultant, and author. He empowers product teams teams to maximize their impact on business-critical revenue and growth goals by streamlining processes, simplifying strategies, and focusing on the work that matters most.
Matt’s decade-plus career in product has included acquisitions by Google and Intuit, strategic advising to Spotify, and building out product teams for early-stage startups now valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars. His books Agile for Everybody (O’Reilly Media, 2018) and Product Management in Practice (Second Edition O'Reilly Media, 2022) have been translated into over 6 languages, and provide actionable guidance to individuals and teams across countries, functions, and industries.
Matt is the creator of the One Page / One Hour Pledge, a commitment to minimize busywork and maximize collaboration that has been adopted by over 100 individuals and teams at Amazon, Walmart, Adobe, Disney, and more. His work with tech ethnographer Tricia Wang has been included in Google’s official Design Sprint toolkit.
Previously, Matt worked as Senior Product Manager at music startup Songza (acquired by Google), and Head of Consumer Product at Bitly. Matt is also a musician, recording engineer, and the author of a book about singer-songwriter Elliott Smith. He lives in London, England.

Aarron Walter is a design and technology leader. He started the user experience design practice at Mailchimp and helped grow the company from a few thousand customers to tens of millions. Later at InVision, he studied the design teams at some of the most admired tech companies to identify the traits that influence success. When the COVID19 pandemic emerged, he joined former CDC Director Dr Tom Frieden at Resolve to Save Lives to help US public health teams, the Africa CDC, and the WHO use design and technology in emergency response. He's the author of a number of books, the latest of which is the second edition of Designing for Emotion. Aarron's design guidance has helped the White House, the US Department of State, and dozens of major corporations, startups, and venture capital firms. Aarron co-hosts the Webby nominated Design Better Podcast.

Vitaly loves beautiful content and does not give up easily. Born in Minsk, Belarus, he studied computer science and mathematics in Germany. While writing algebra proofs and preparing for software engineering at nights in the kitchen, at the same time he discovered passion for typography, interface design and writing. After working as a freelance designer and developer for 6 years, he co-founded Smashing Magazine back in 2006, a leading online magazine for designers and developers. His curiosity drove him from interface design to front-end to performance optimization to accessibility and back to user experience over all the years.

Vitaly is the author, co-author and editor of all Smashing books (https://www.smashingmagazine.com/books), and a curator of all Smashing Conferences (https://www.smashingconf.comhttps://www.smashingconf.com). He currently works as creative lead of Smashing Magazine (www.smashingmagazine.com) and front-end/UX consultant in Europe and abroad, working with European Parliament, Haufe-Lexware, Axel-Springer and a few other companies.
